Caitlin Clark has been making a huge impact in the WNBA as a rookie. The former all-time NCAA basketball scorer has quickly transitioned to the professional level, already setting records.

Clark recently broke the WNBA record for most assists in a game with 19, and she is one of two rookies invited to the All-Star Game alongside fellow standout Angel Reese.
Despite being selected to play for Team WNBA in the All-Star Game, Clark opted out of the 3-point Contest during the Skills Competition. She explained her decision to reporters.
“Honestly, I just need rest. I’ve been playing basketball nonstop for a year. It’s a challenge to go shoot off a rack without much practice. My focus has been on winning games for my team,” Clark stated.

Following her final season with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Clark entered the 2024 WNBA Draft and immediately began preparing for the preseason with the Indiana Fever. She has been playing basketball continuously through training, preseason, and the regular season, making a break much-needed.
Clark highlighted the importance of taking time for herself and enjoying a break amid the pressures of professional basketball.
Clark will still compete in the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, July 20 at 8:30 p.m. EST, televised on ABC.
