JAKE Paul dominated replacement opponent Mike Perry, eventually forcing a stoppage in the sixth round of their scheduled eight-round headliner at the Amalie Arena in Florida last night.
‘Platinum’ Perry had some bareknuckle boxing experience but a limited professional boxing record. His only previous boxing match ended in a defeat to Kenneth ‘Bullet Hands’ McNeil in 2015.
Perry was brought in as an opponent for Paul after Mike Tyson had to withdraw from the original fight date due to health concerns. Tyson and Paul are now scheduled to fight on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.
In the main event, Paul quickly showed his superiority over Perry, knocking him down in the first round. Despite Perry’s efforts, Paul continued to dominate the fight with his superior skills.
Paul’s accuracy and power were evident throughout the fight, with Perry being knocked down multiple times before the referee eventually stopped the fight in the sixth round.
With this win, Jake Paul improved his record to 10-1 with 7 knockouts, while Perry now stands at 0-2 in his professional boxing career.
