WBA Asia is currently experiencing a great moment. The regional body of the WBA is gearing up to host its convention in Vietnam and celebrate its first 30 years of institutional life.
Established in March 1995 in China as the Pan Asian Boxing Association or WBA PABA, it has played a crucial role in the systematic development of boxing in the Asian continent, promoting regional talent and serving as a platform for boxers, promoters, and local commissions in the sport.
Rebranded as WBA Asia in February 2017, it organized the first international professional boxing championship in Vietnam in 2019, and will return on August 9 for its convention with the support of the Vietnam Boxing Commission and Shadow Entertainment Promotions.

This event will be a significant milestone for WBA Asia, bringing together boxing representatives from various countries in the region to discuss the current state of the sport, participate in the officials’ seminar, and enjoy a top-quality boxing program.
WBA Asia aims to establish Vietnam as the boxing capital of Asia with this historic convention.
Aligned with the WBA’s motto “Always Pioneers,” WBA Asia, as the regional office of the World Boxing Association, is committed to furthering the development of boxing worldwide. The WBA Asia Convention will be a key step in this direction.
