Paul Wardlaw was named the Denver head women’s tennis coach at the start of the 2021-22 season. Prior to Denver, Wardlaw had stops at Kenyon College, Iowa, and Brown where he gained nearly 30 years of college tennis coaching across the Division III and Division I levels. Over his storied career, Wardlaw has come to be known for his tactical system, the Wardlaw Directionals, and has also become a storied author with his book titled Pressure Tennis.
In this podcast, Dave and Paul discuss his tactical system, the Wardlaw Directionals, Paul’s transition and immediate success from Division III to Division I, how Paul learned to be an effective college coach early on in his career, and so much more.
