Aaron Gordon is eligible to sign a four-year contract extension with the Denver Nuggets starting on Friday. Represented by agent Calvin Andrews, Gordon expressed his love for the organization, players, and coaching staff during the team’s media day.
“I really love this organization,” Gordon stated. “I love the players on this team. I love the coaching staff. So I hope we get it done. It seems like it’s moving forward in the right direction. So I’m excited. I’m excited hopefully to be extended and to stay with this organization.”
The Nuggets acquired Gordon before the 2021 trade deadline and later signed him to a $92 million extension over four seasons in September. Gordon also holds a player option for the 2025-2026 season.
“Hopefully we have some productive talks with his representation, and we’re able to find a deal that we’re both satisfied with,” mentioned general manager Calvin Booth. “He’s been an integral part of what we’ve done. And we’d like to keep him here for a long time.”
