Las Vegas Aces’ reigning MVP A’ja Wilson recently shared her opinion on who will win it all at NCAA Tournament.
The WNBA season is soon approaching, Wilson is preparing herself and the Aces to will a third championship.
Wilson was recently asked her predictions. With both tournaments, she gave different answers.
She said, “Women, go Gamecocks,” she said. “Men… May the best team win.”
A’ja Wilson played for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2015 to 2018, capturing a national championship.
Wilson is still passionate about the Gamecocks.
It has been years since she entered the draft and became a household name, but Wilson has never forgotten about her old team and coach.
For the last two season, the UConn Huskies have claimed the national championship on the men’s side.
Their dominance may soon be coming to an end with competition from teams like Michigan State, Duke with Cooper Flagg, and others are ready to dethrone them.
On the women’s side, the race to the national championship is wide open.
South Carolina is always in the conversation, but you have to give credit to UConn led by Paige Bueckers, Notre Dame led by Hanna Hidalgo, and UCLA with Lauren Betts.
The South Carolina Gamecock finished the 2024-25 season 30-3, including going 15-1 against SEC rivals.
The Gamecocks start their quest for another national championship on Friday night against Tennessee Tech.
