Adrien Van Beveren has signed a two-year deal with Monster Energy Honda Rally Team, securing his spot on a Honda CRF450 Rally for the 2025 and 2026 World Rally-Raid Championships and Dakar Rallies. The announcement was made by Van Beveren on Saturday.
Currently sitting in third place in the W2RC RallyGP standings with one race remaining, Van Beveren had a strong season. He achieved a career-best third place finish at the Dakar Rally, claiming two stage wins and finally making it onto the podium after missing out in his previous eight attempts. Although Honda did not participate in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, Van Beveren returned for the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid, where he won the final stage but narrowly missed the podium in fourth place (third among points-eligible riders), followed by another third place finish at the DesafÃo Ruta 40.
Heading into the season-ending Rallye du Maroc, Van Beveren is trailing points leader Ross Branch by sixteen points and Honda teammate Ricky Brabec by seven. In the 2023 edition of the event, Van Beveren finished in seventh place.
First joining Honda in June 2022 after Yamaha discontinued their factory rally raid programme following that year’s Dakar Rally, Van Beveren had a strong start with a fourth place finish in his debut W2RC race at the Rallye du Maroc, followed by a victory at the season-ending AndalucÃa Rally. In 2023, he claimed the win at Abu Dhabi on his way to a third place finish in the championship, making him the highest finishing Honda rider.
In RallyGP, Honda currently has five bikes being ridden by Van Beveren, Brabec, Skyler Howes, Pablo Quintanilla, and Tosha Schareina. With the exception of missing the Abu Dhabi round, Honda has dominated in the 2024 season, winning all three rounds they have entered, including a 1-2-3-4 finish at the DR 40 led by Brabec. Additionally, Brabec won the Dakar Rally while Schareina claimed victory at the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid. As they head into Morocco, Honda holds a twenty-two point lead over Hero in the manufacturer’s standings.
