A’ja Wilson and Sydney Colson have shared funny moments in the past, but their interaction during a timeout yesterday had fans in stitches.
Wilson, the frontrunner for the WNBA MVP this season, was unable to play due to an ankle injury during the Las Vegas Aces’ game against the New York Liberty on Sunday. Despite this, she was actively supporting her team.
In a timeout, Wilson was addressing the team in a huddle when Colson leaned on her. Wilson, visibly annoyed, tried to push Colson away, but Colson persisted. Eventually, Wilson had to verbally and physically make Colson move, who maintained a deadpan expression throughout.

For those unfamiliar with them, it might not be obvious that this was all done in good spirits. Wilson and Colson are close friends and often joke around together on the sidelines.
Fans enjoyed this moment and took to social media to share their thoughts.

The Aces lost the game 75–71 and currently hold a 22–13 record, placing them second in the Western Conference. The two-time defending champions will be hoping for Wilson’s quick return from injury as they gear up for the playoffs.
