With less than a minute left on the clock, Connecticut Sun guard Saniya Rivers bounced a shot off the rim. Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson jumped up to grab the rebound — and a piece of WNBA history — as she passed the ball to Chelsea Gray, becoming the first player in league history to score at least 30 points and grab at least 20 rebounds in a game.
As the clock wound down, the Aces beat the Sun 94-86. Wilson was responsible for 32 of those points, plus five assists and 20 rebounds — nearly as many rebounds as the entire Connecticut team, which notched 23.

The Aces have now won seven of their last 10 games, bringing their record to 18-14. They sit in third in the Western Conference.
Wilson is no stranger to the record books. She is currently the WNBA leader in single-season points (1,021 in 2024) and single-season rebounds (451 in 2024), and is tied with Liz Cambage for most points in a single game (53 in 2023).
This year, the three-time MVP and seven-time All-Star is currently averaging 21.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, down from her career high of 26.9 points and 9.8 rebounds last year.
