After scoring 28 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in today’s victory against the Washington Mystics, A’ja Wilson has now set a new WNBA single-season record for the most games with 25+ points and 10+ rebounds.
The Las Vegas Aces standout is having an exceptional season on the court. Wilson continues to surpass records as she aims for a third consecutive WNBA title.
Starting the season 6-6, the Aces, led by Wilson and the return of guard Chelsea Gray, have won 10 of their last 11 games, returning to their dominant form from previous years.
Aside from her on-court accomplishments, Wilson was recently featured on the cover of NBA 2K alongside Jayson Tatum, making her the first WNBA player to achieve this on the global edition. She also clinched two awards for Best WNBA Player and Best Female Athlete at the 2024 ESPYS on July 11.
This year is shaping up to be one of the most successful in Wilson’s career. If she can secure a gold medal at the Paris Olympics and another WNBA championship by the end of the season, it will further solidify her already impressive hall of fame career.
