A’ja Wilson’s former teammate lauds Lexie Hull’s breakout performance in Unrivaled with 2 words

Tiffany Hayes, who earned the 2024 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year Award playing for A’ja Wilson’s Las Vegas Aces, was left impressed by Lexie Hull’s standout performance for Rose BC in Unrivaled.

Hull scored a career-high 19 points in Unrivaled, leading Rose BC to their first victory over Mist BC. She finished 8-for-11 shooting and contributed three rebounds and three assists.

Hayes, who plays for the undefeated Laces BC, reacted to Hull’s performance, commenting:

“Okay Lexie!”

Kahleah Copper also made an impact in Rose BC’s win with 18 points, while Azura Stevens added 16 points and seven rebounds.

Chelsea Gray contributed with 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while Angel Reese and Brittney Sykes combined for six points.

Mist BC remains the only team without a win in Unrivaled as of Saturday. League co-founder Breanna Stewart led the team with 20 points, while Aaliyah Edwards, Jewell Loyd and Rickea Jackson scored 14, 13 and 10 points, respectively.

A’ja Wilson’s Aces linked to disgruntled Seattle Storm star

The WNBA offseason is buzzing with rumors about a three-team trade that could dramatically shift the league’s balance. At the center of the proposed deal are two of the league’s top guards: Kelsey Plum and Jewell Loyd.

According to Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times, Plum might be on her way to the LA Sparks, while Loyd could join A’ja Wilson in the Las Vegas Aces. The Seattle Storm would receive additional assets as part of the trade.

“According to multiple league sources, a proposed three-team trade that would send Jewell Loyd to the Aces, Kelsey Plum to the Sparks and assets to the Storm is the first domino that needs to fall in free agency,” Costabile said.

Building on the trade’s significance, Costabile added that other teams are waiting for this deal to go through before making their moves.

“Multiple league sources familiar with the proposed trade have indicated that until it’s finalized, other moves will not be made,” she wrote. “The problem at hand is getting the trade over the finish line, which at the current moment appears to hinge upon packaging the right pieces for Seattle.”

This potential trade follows Jewell Loyd’s request for a move from the Seattle Storm in December, sparking speculation about her future.

Loyd, known for her scoring ability, averaged 19.7 points per game in the 2024 season. Adding her to the A’ja Wilson-led Aces would strengthen their roster and could help them return to championship form.
