Aliaksei Vishneuski, after a decade with MAZ-SPORTauto and five Dakar Rally contests, has left the team, hinting at a shift towards drifting. The team’s statement on Friday announced his departure.
“Aliaksei Vishneuski is departing from the MAZ-SPORTavto team today,” the statement read. “He joined the team in 2015 and has since participated in over 30 rally raids. He has achieved significant milestones in his rally raid career, including multiple titles in the Championship of the Republic of Belarus.”
“Throughout his time with the team, Aliaksei has competed at the highest level in the truck category, representing Minsk Automobile Plant and Belarus internationally. We thank him for his contributions and wish him success in his future endeavors.”

A three-time Belarusian drift champion, Vishneuski switched to rallying in 2015 with MAZ. His Dakar Rally journey began in 2017, with his latest and fifth Dakar finish in 2021 as MAZ’s top finisher. He also competed in the Silk Way Rally and Morocco Desert Challenge, finishing in the top ranks.”
