Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston reacted emotionally to her teammate NaLyssa Smith’s year-end message to fans. Smith shared a video montage on Instagram, showcasing highlights from her 2024 journey, on and off the court.
The Fever forward expressed gratitude to fans for their support and looked forward to a successful 2025 ahead.
“God’s favorite. i know 2025 will be my year,” Smith wrote. “thank you to everyone that’s been rocking wit me thus far, i love yall forevaa.”
Aliyah Boston showed support by leaving a heartfelt comment on the post, expressing admiration and encouragement.
“Rockin wit u forever sistaaa,” Boston commented.
Teammate Kelsey Mitchell also showed support with a simple promise to stand by the star forward always.
“forever rocking wit you, kid,” Mitchell commented.
Currently, NaLyssa Smith is playing with the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in the Chinese Basketball Association during the WNBA offseason.
Aliyah Boston, on the other hand, had a productive training session with Fever’s player development coach, Keith Porter on Monday.
Smith and Boston contributed to ending Fever’s playoff drought
The Indiana Fever broke their eight-year WNBA playoff drought in 2024, with NaLyssa Smith and Aliyah Boston playing key roles in the team’s success. Alongside Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, Smith and Boston made significant contributions.
Smith played all 40 regular season games, averaging 10.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game. She had a shooting percentage of 48.0% from the field and 29.2% from beyond the arc.
Boston, on the other hand, earned her second consecutive All-Star selection after an impressive season. She averaged 14.0 points per game on 52.9% shooting from the field, 26.9% from 3-point range, along with 8.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game in 40 games.
