Confirmed Switch 2 games are already stacking up ahead of the console’s launch on June 5, 2025. While the focus here is on the exciting lineup of Switch 2 exclusives, upgrades, and ports, it’s worth noting that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be fully backwards compatible with all original Switch games. So, if you’re upgrading, your old library won’t be left behind.

All confirmed Switch 2 games are looking great! Thankfully, our original Switch can finally take a well-earned rest. Pricing could still change, though — potential tariffs might drive up costs at launch. Still, with a lineup this solid, the future’s looking bright for Nintendo fans. Pre-orders for the Switch 2 are already live, with the standard SKU priced at $449 and the Mario Kart World Bundle at $499.
