The Esports World Cup in 2025 is going to be bigger than ever, with a larger prize pool and even more EWC events being held! The biggest titles in esports are all here, plus some other games for good measure.

From shooters, MOBAs to sports games, here’s the full list of games being played at the Esports World Cup.

The Esports World Cup had qualifiers for the majority of its teams and players, with the EWC prize pools for many of the games being $1,000,000 or higher. The World Cup aims to represent esports as a whole. Looking through the spread of games available, it’s definitely wide. There’s inclusions from loads of different genres.

Shooters

Apex Legends – The ALGS Midseason Playoffs, with the top 40 teams from regional events.
Crossfire – A 16 team event, with teams decided by regional points.
Free Fire – 18 team tournament, top teams coming from regional qualifiers.
Valorant – 16 teams qualified through the regional Stage events.
CoD Black Ops 6 – 16 Team tournament, teams are invited or from the CDL.
CoD Warzone – 21 teams from qualifiers.
CS2 – 16 team event, teams coming in room VRS Global and Asian Champions League.
PUBG – 24 teams are playing, picked from their spots in qualifiers and power rankings.
PUBG Mobile – 24 teams qualifying from PMSL
Overwatch 2 – Midseason Championship with 16 teams coming from OWCS Stages.
Rainbow Six – 16 teams from regional Leagues.

MOBAs

Dota 2 – The top teams from the EPT Leaderboard, 16 in total are taking part.
Honor of Kings – The HoK World Cup, 18 team event.
League of Legends – A 12 team final, teams coming from LTA Split events.
Mobile Legends Bang Bang – The MLBB Mid-Season Cup, featuring 23 teams.
Mobile Legends Bang Bang – Women’s Invitational, with 16 invited to take part.

Teamfight Tactics – 16 teams taking part rom regional qualifiers.

Solo Games at EWC

Chess – 16 players from Champions Chess Tour standings.
Rennsport – 9 Teams are taking part, with a $500,000 prize pool.
StarCraft II – 18 player tournament, with teams coming from regional qualifiers, GSL, and DreamHack.
Street Fighter 6 – A 48 player event. With players entering from qualifiers like the Capcom Cup, SFL, and regional tournaments.
Tekken 8 – 32 players, qualifying from other tournaments like EVO and CEO.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves – 16 player event, with fighters qualified through events like Combo Breaker and EVO Japan.
EA FC 25 – 32 teams taking part, from Leagues, and FC Pro Open.
Rocket League – A 16 team tournament with teams decided by regional rankings.

How has it changed from last year? There are a few alterations, including games like Fortnite being dropped. This is the list from last year if you want to compare the games:

Shooters

Apex Legends: 1st-4th August. 13 Teams qualify from both online events and official ALGS leagues.

Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3: 15th-18th August. The teams have yet to be announced.

Call of Duty, Warzone: 3rd-6th July. The teams are yet to be announced.

Counter-Strike 2: 17th-21st July. There are 14 teams qualified.

Fortnite: 8th-11th August. At the time of writing, 6 teams are qualified for this event. Its qualifiers have not been announced.

Free Fire: 10th-14th July. 20 Teams have qualified through the Free Fire World Series and other events.

Overwatch 2: 24th-28th July. 14 Teams will compete. At the time of writing, 10 teams have qualified, and 4 will be invited.

PUBG: 19th-28th July / 21st-25th July. The mobile version of the game runs from the 19th, featuring 17 teams. The PC version will see 24 teams compete, having qualified through online events. The PC version runs from the 21st.

Rainbow 6 Siege: Online qualfiers will allow 16 teams to play between the 31st of July to the 4th of August.

MOBAs

DOTA 2: 4th-21st July. The Riyadh Masters. There are 20 teams qualified through online and offline events.

Honor of Kings: 3rd-25th August. At the time of writing, only Team Falcons have been invited of the 12 total slots.

League of Legends: 4th-7th July. LPL, LCK, LCS and LEC Spring events were the qualifiers for this 8 team bracket. There’s a full run down of the LoL Esports World Cup event too.

Mobile Legends Bang Bang: 3rd-14th July / 24th-27th July. 24 teams will be playing as part of the Mid Season Cup. The Women’s league is inviting 12 teams to compete over the 3 day period.
