Alysha Clark is on the move, inking a deal with the Seattle Storm, per ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne. In what has been a shocking trend, Clark is the latest member of the Las Vegas Aces to find a new home during free agency, in a whiplash-inducing week that has seen Sydney Colson, Tiffany Hayes, and now Clark depart.
Clark, 37, is still a formidable contributor to a contending roster. Her ability to defend at multiple positions while also keeping defenses honest with her ability to knock down shots from the corners has been a huge boon to floor spacing for the Aces these last two years. The three-time WNBA champion (‘18 and ‘20 with Storm, ‘23 with the Aces) and 2023 Sixth Player of the Year is coming off averages of 6.0 PPG (points per game) and 3.6 RPG (rebounds per game), while knocking down 37 percent of her threes.
Clark is currently spending her offseason playing back at home in Tennessee, joining Athletes Unlimited after its move to Nashville. When Clark takes to a WNBA court again in 2025, it’ll be her 13th season playing in the league (nine years in Seattle, one in Washington [with a foot injury preventing a second], and two-plus in Las Vegas).
