Amazon is said to have commissioned a new animated anthology series for its Prime Video streaming service. The series will feature new stories set across various existing video game worlds, including Spelunky and Amazon’s New World.
The series, reportedly titled Secret Level, is being developed by Tim Miller and Blur Studio, the creative team behind Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots. It seems that this new project will follow a similar format to Netflix’s anthology series, with original short stories set within the worlds of existing video games.
While the specific games to be featured have not been disclosed, sources suggest that Spelunky, New World, and several PlayStation titles will be included. The full reveal for Secret Level is expected to take place during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20th at 7pm BST.
Amazon already had success with its live-action Fallout TV show. Secret Level has a tough act to follow, but it seems to be in good hands.
