First meet after the US champs and the numbers of US athletes was very high. Also note that 35,000 paid tickets in Silesia. Polish Federation does an excellent job. Make sure you go to the World Indoors in 2026! This complements our RBR European senior writer,

Men
Men’s 100m
Noah Lyles was second in 9.90, his best performance at 100m of the season (his third race?). Kenny Bednarek, after winning 100m and second in 200m at USATF, took third in 9.96. Christian Coleman, who was fifth in the 100m and sixth in the 200m, was 4th here in 9.96. Trayvon Bromell, 2016 Olympian, is racing well, fifth in 9.97, and Courtney Lindsay, after a strong US champs, was sixth in 10.05
Men’s 1,500m
In a very tactical race, Yared Nuguse won in 3:33.19. Josh Hoey was in 4th in 3:33.75.
Men’s 110m hurdles
Cordell Tinch won in 13.03, with Grant Holloway, three-time World Champion, in 13.15 in second, and Eric Edwards, USA, in third in 13.20.
Men’s 400m hurdles
Karsten Warholm blazed a WL of 46.28. Chris Robinson, US, was fourth in 48.09, and Trevor Bassitt, US, was fourth in 48.37.
Men’s High Jump
Olympic champ Hamish Kerr, a Kiwi, won in 2.33m. JuVaughn Harrison, USA, was second in 2.28m. Shelby McEwan, US, was fifth in 2.25m. Elijah Kosiba, US, was 8th in 2.22m, and Gianmarco Tamberi, ITA, continues his lower-than-normal jumping, with a subpar 2.14m.
Men’s pole vault
It was the Mondo and Emmanouil show, with Mondo at 6.10m and Mr. Karalis over six meters for the tenth time in 2025. Sam Kendricks was fifth, tied with Monsieur Lavillenie, at 5.80m. Sam is looking pretty good, and Renaud, whom we worship, has surpassed 5.80m five times, I believe, this season. Love these guys.
Men’s shot put
Payton Otterdahl, second at US champs, threw 22.28m to take the win over Leonardo Fabbri, ITA, European champ, in 22.10m. Joe
Kovacs’ three 21.82m, a bit frustrated. Roger Steen, USA, is in eighth. One of our faves, Kiwi Tom Walsh, was 4th in 21.72m. Payton’s interview in #MixedZone is the most popular interview of the day. Shot Put love, baby!
Women
Women’s 100 meters
Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, USA, ran 10.66, going away and showing her US Champs double is just the beginning. Jacious Sears was fourth in 11.00. Sha’Carri Richardson, double Budapest champ, is working herself into shape, 11.05.
Women’s 200 meters
Brittany Brown, US, ran 22.21 for the 200m in second, continuing to impress. Jenna Prandini, Olympian, was seventh in 22.78.
Women’s 400m
Marileidy Paulino, DOM, won in 49.18, with Salwa Eid Naser, BRN, in 49.27. These will be the opponents that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone needs to remember (she did not race). Alexis Holmes, US, was sixth in 50.18.
Women’s 800m
After three hundred seventy-six days away from racing, Keely Hodgkinson raced with a boom, boom, and won in 1:54.74. Raeyvn Rogers ran 1:57.76 for 4th in this high-quality race, where eighth was 1:59.08.
Women’s 1,500m
Gudaf Tsegay is in shape! Gudaf went out insanely and finished in 3:50.62. With some pacing, Tsegay could have come oh so close to the WR. Nikki Hiltz kept their cool and ran 3:56.10 for 4th. Heather Maclean ran 3:57.79, a new personal best, in 8th!
Women’s 3000 meters
Faith Kipyegon ran 8:07.04 for the 3,000 meters, the fastest ever run legally by a woman. The fact that the Chinese ran 8:06.11 in 1993, while on a testosterone salve, is a fact, but also shows the depravity of anti-doping efforts in said time period. Karisa Schweizer, US, was 9th in 8:40.35. Ella Donaghu, US, was 11th in 8:42.91.
Women’s 100m hurdles
What does one say about Masai Russell? We are in the presence of perfection with 12.19. Tonea Marshall, US, 12.24, was second, and Alia Armstrong, US, was fifth in 12.32, with former World Record Holder, Kenni Harrison, sixth in 12.41.
Women’s 400m hurdles
Femke Bol, NED, won her 29th Diamond League race in 51.91 for the 400m hurdles. Jasmine Jones, US, was third in 53.64.
Women’s high jump
Ukrainian marvel Yaroslava Mahuchikh cleared two meters for the high jump, with Nicola Olyslagers taking second in 1.97. American Charity Hufnagel was fifth in 1.88m, and Emma Gates was ninth in 1.84m.
Women’s pole vault
Pole vault won by Marie-Julie Bonnin, FRA, in 4.70m. Brynn King, US, was third in 4.60m, Hanna Moll was 4th in 4.60m. Chloe Timberg was seventh in 4.50m. Amanda Moll was 8th in 4.50m, and Gabby Leon was ninth in 4.40m.
Women’s long jump
Jasmine Moore, Paris Olympic medalist in LJ/TJ, won the LJ in 6.85m, with Claire Bryant, World Indoor Champ, Nanjing 2025, was third in 6.83m. Quanesha Burks was fifth in 6.65m, Lex Brown was 8th in 6.52m, and Monae Nichols was 9th in 6.21m.
Women’s Shot Put
Jessica Schilder, NED, Euro Indoor Champs, silver at World Indoor, was the winner here in 19.66m. Maggie Ewan, US, threw 19.49m in third, and Abby Moore was seventh in 18.22m.
Women’s hammer throw
Camryn Rogers, CAN, won in 75.39m. Rachel Richeson, third in US champs was 4th here in 71.70m. Brooke Andersen, US was fifth here, in 69.99, remember, Brooke is a world champion.
