Reese’s outstanding performance helped the Sky achieve a 2-1 record from July 2-7. In their game against the Atlanta Dream on July 2, Reese contributed 12 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks, leading the Sky to an 85-77 victory.

On Sunday, Reese marked her 13th consecutive double-double, setting a new record. She has now surpassed Parker’s record of 12 between the 2009 and 2010 seasons in just one season. Reese still has several games left on the schedule for 2024, which could see her add more double-doubles to her impressive streak.
The Sky will next face the Dream on July 10, where Reese will aim to continue her dominant performance. In their previous match on July 2, Reese achieved a career-high of 19 rebounds. Even though the Dream may adjust their tactics, Reese’s exceptional skills could still lead her to secure 14 consecutive double-doubles.
