Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese made history as the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Angel Reese continues to broaden her influence beyond the basketball court – and her newest modeling venture is breaking barriers.
This week, Reese made history as the first professional athlete to grace the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway, marking a significant milestone for her fashion aspirations and mainstream appeal, before posting a mysterious message moments later.
The Chicago Sky forward confidently walked the catwalk in two pink lingerie ensembles during the “Wings Reveal” portion of the show. Her outfits featured rose-embellished pieces and a stunning feathered wing design. It comes after her brother Julian got a boost to his own NBA career by signing a new contract.

Prior to the event, she enlisted a modeling coach to “perfect my walk,” viewing this opportunity as the realization of a lifelong aspiration.
“It was destined for me,” Reese declared, explaining, “I walk, sleep, hoop … And I hoop, sleep, walk.”
Despite her successful foray into runway modeling, Reese maintains clarity about her future objectives.
During a TikTok Live session, she addressed questions about potentially transitioning to full-time modeling.
Her response was crystal clear: “I love modeling and I love that last night, but I do not want to be a full-time model. Even from some of the stories they shared – they said modeling was a little scary – and I’m not ready for that.
“So I don’t want to be a full-time model. That is not what I’m trying to do.
“I’ll be in some high-fashion stuff like that and work with some other brands, but full-time model? No, it’s not my thing.”
She even dispelled a widespread misconception about models: “The funniest part from last night? We were rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing – and somebody yells, ‘The models need to eat! We need a break!’ We all went to grab snacks. At first, you know how everybody says models don’t eat? Don’t get it twisted.”
Her catwalk premiere was broadly viewed as a landmark moment, not just for her personally, but for how the fashion industry is transforming to welcome athletes into realms that were previously reserved for glamour professionals.
Reese’s ascent in the modeling world extends beyond runway appearances. Prior to this presentation, she unveiled a limited-edition partnership with Juicy Couture and became the spokesperson for the brand’s Viva La Juicy fragrance.
She additionally launched her inaugural signature basketball sneaker, the Angel Reese 1, through a collaboration with Reebok, which experienced rapid sellouts, underscoring her magnetism in both athletics and fashion.
