Wendell Carter Jr. dunked in front of Angel Reese on Monday, and the WNBA player shared a reel of the play to her Instagram stories as relationship rumors continue
WNBA star Angel Reese has dropped a major hint regarding the identity of her mystery boyfriend after posting Wendell Carter Jr.’s dunk on social media.
Reese, 23, shares the majority of her livelihood on social media but has yet to open up about her love life. However, she’s recently confirmed that she’s in a relationship, but despite dropping hints, the identity of her partner remains unknown.
The Chicago Sky star recently jokingly said that she has money and a “boo”, before doubling down on the announcement on Instagram. Reese has been linked with Carter Jr. for several months, and after attending his game on Monday night, rumors of their relationship have spiked.

Reese was in Orlando on Monday night to watch the Magic beat the Portland Trail Blazers 115-112. Not only was Reese wearing Magic merchandise, but she also posted a highlight of Carter Jr.’s powerful dunk on Instagram, fuelling speculation.
The clip was captioned, “Who you feeling like.” Reese’s attendance comes after she posted 10 images on Instagram, updating fans with her offseason activity before the 2026 WNBA campaign begins next year.
While most of the photos showcased how Reese stays in shape, they also revealed parts of her daily routine. She was wearing Magic merchandise in three snaps, and fans are convinced that Reese and Carter Jr. are an item.
Reese captioned the post, “Rebranding & yes, I got both.” While in isolation, the caption was cryptic, but it followed on from her activity on X.
The WNBA star posted a screenshot of an X post which read, “ion post my boo or my money just know i got both.” Reese’s Instagram caption all but confirmed that she’s in a relationship, but neither she nor Carter Jr. has confirmed that they are dating.
Reese has been mindful of keeping her dating life private after details of her previous relationship were leaked online. Reese responded to the reports on X last year and made a vow never to disclose her relationship until she was married.
“Now i see why people hide relationships & keep everything private,” Reese wrote on X. “Like i don’t think i’ll ever openly share that part of my life with yall again until im married cause yall do THE MOST!”
Reese later added: “It will literally have to be all assumptions & speculations, cause absolutely NOT.” The WNBA player was working on herself last season, but did specify her ideal man during an interview with Shaquille O’Neal on her Unapologetically Angel podcast.

“I’m not looking for a man. I’m looking just for happiness in life,” she said, before proceeding to explain her perfect partner. “A high caliber man. A smart, nice, and genuine man. But he cannot be a house husband,” she added.
“I like danger. I want people to think my man is attractive, yes. He’s got to be a strong, confident man.”
