Angel Reese hypes $338,056 Sky teammate’s 40-pt outing for Shanghai Swordfish in 3-words

Angel Reese was hyped up after her Chicago Sky teammate Kamilla Cardoso’s dominant outing in the Chinese basketball league. Cardoso is playing in the Chinese league for the Shanghai Swordfish and put unbelievable numbers on both ends of the floor in her team’s triumph.

In a 113-107 win against the Zhejiang Chouzhou, the $338,056-worth Sky star (per Spotrac) had an almost 40-point triple-double. She had 40 points, 17 rebounds, nine assists and three steals in the game.

Reese lauded her Sky teammate’s magnificent game on her social media profile. She reposted a post on X, celebrating Cardoso.

“heard you kmillyyyyy,” Reese wrote.

Both Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso were drafted by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft. However, Cardoso started the season a bit later due to her injury. While Reese showed that she could be an elite rebounder, Cardoso showed early signs of being a great player on both ends of the floor.

Cardoso averaged 9.8 points per game on 52.1% shooting from the floor. She also averaged 7.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.

Angel Reese struggled on the scoring end in her rookie season in the WNBA. However, it seems like the Unrivaled venture could prove to be a big boost for her offensive game, especially being exposed to some of the best veteran players in the league.

Reese has teamed up with WNBA champion veterans like Kahleah Cooper and Chelsea Gray and has been taking lessons from them. In a viral video from Rose BC on X, Reese was seen taking lessons from Cooper.

She was seen working on her footwork under the basket, while Cooper kept demonstrating her next move.

“Kah getting some work in with Angel, love this 🥹🌹 #RoseBC,” the post read.

Kahleah Cooper reposted the video with an adorable message for her Unrivaled teammate.

“realllyyyy my kidddd 🥹🫶🏾,” she wrote.

Angel Reese also reposted the adorable post from Cooper and thanked the 2021 WNBA champion.

In her first game of the inaugural Unrivaled league, Angel Reese struggled on the offensive end of the floor. She scored only 10 points in the game, shooting 3-of-7 from the field.

However, with championship veterans on her team to guide her, Reese’s game is only going to get better, given she continues to grasp as much as she can while she is in Miami. Moreover, her rebounding is still elite and she finished the game with 14 rebounds.
