Angel Reese is beginning to delve into her understanding of the political world as the upcoming presidential race intensifies.
With the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, the rookie forward for the Sky is encouraging her fans to participate in the fall election.
“I haven’t delved much into the political election and everything happening,” Reese shared on “Scoop B Radio.” “I am not very knowledgeable at the moment but I am continuously learning and providing feedback.
“But everyone, please go out and vote! I applaud that and I have been urging many people to go out and vote because it is crucial for this election.”
Reese has not taken a side in the election, but she enthusiastically reacted to Michelle Obama’s speech at the DNC.
Reese is averaging a double-double of 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game on 40.2% shooting from the field this season. Before the break, she ended her streak of consecutive double-doubles at 15 games, which is a WNBA record after she surpassed Candace Parker’s nine-game record.
The Sky play the Connecticut Sun on the road Friday at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on Ion.
