Chicago Sky star rookie forward Angel Reese delivered a fantastic second-half performance en route to matching her career-high with 20 rebounds. However, the Connecticut Sun won a back-and-forth game, edging the Sky 82-80.
Five days earlier, Reese grabbed 20 boards (alongside 19 points) against the Phoenix Mercury. With her Friday performance, Reese made WNBA history.

Reese went scoreless in the first half but finished with 13 points. She helped the Sky overcome a 10-point halftime deficit, and the team even led by as many as six points in the final quarter.
Reese got going on both ends, getting a block early on in the third quarter and doing work on the boards amid a 15-5 run.
Reese stayed active on the glass, following up her miss here to cut the Sun lead to one.
Sky fans approved of her efforts.
The Sky led 80-77 after Reese’s two free throws with 1:52 left, but the Sun hit five free throws down the stretch for the win. Alyssa Thomas’ pair with four seconds left put the Sun in the lead for good.
It was a tough loss for the Sky, but it was hard to not be impressed by Reese’s great second half and her continued excellence on the glass.
