April’s clever tweet has led to a unique partnership deal for Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese. The WNBA All-Star recently announced a collaboration with Reese’s, resulting in a new line of merchandise.
When Reese was drafted by the Sky in 2024, she asked for a new nickname to replace “Bayou Barbie” in a tweet. A fan suggested “Reese’s Pieces,” sparking a marketing opportunity for the basketball player and the Hershey’s-owned candy brand.

Reese has achieved several milestones in the WNBA this season, earning Player of the Week honors and setting a new record for consecutive double-doubles with 15 straight.
In just 27 games, Reese recorded 20 double-doubles, making her the fastest player in league history to reach that mark.
This season, Reese is averaging 13.6 points and a league-leading 12.3 rebounds per game for the Sky. She was also named a WNBA All-Star in her debut season.
