Angel Reese is set to debut in the 3×3 Unrivaled league on Jan. 17 in Miami. She is already building strong chemistry with Kahleah Copper of the Phoenix Mercury.
Reese and Copper are teammates for Rose BC, playing alongside Chelsea Gray, Lexie Hull, Brittney Sykes, and Azurá Stevens. The Mercury humorously dubbed the pair as the “front runners for unrivaled comedic duo.”
Responding to Copper’s post, Reese joked, “Grandma you can always come… nvm we got 10 weeks to chat🤭.”
At 22, Reese is significantly younger than the 30-year-old Copper. Unrivaled will begin in two weeks and span eight weeks, with games scheduled three times a week on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
The 2025 3×3 tournament will be held in Miami and broadcasted on TNT and TruTV, with streaming available on Max. Reese’s fans are eager to see her play in the league.
Angel Reese supports Lexie Hull during Unrivaled photoshoot
While often compared to Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark, Reese remains a supportive teammate to Lexie Hull, her Rose BC counterpart. In a social media video, Reese enthusiastically cheered for Hull during the team’s photoshoot.
Reese shared a photo of herself in the Rose BC jersey, showcasing her new curly brown hair and team spirit. The Rose jersey is green, symbolizing the team name.
The Reese-Clark rivalry won’t carry over to Unrivaled’s first season as Caitlin Clark has opted out. However, Clark has expressed interest in joining future seasons of the league.
