While she couldn’t get the nod as a starter, Angel Reese is now about to play in her second WNBA All-Star Game in as many seasons in the league.

Unsurprisingly, the ‘Chicago Barbie’ earned her second WNBA All-Star selection, and she’ll be one of the reserves.
She will join the likes of Kayla Thorton, Kiki Iriafen and Alyssa Thomas in the frontcourt.
With that in mind, she took to Instagram to share a heartfelt three-word message shortly after the news broke:
“Thank you god,” the LSU product wrote with a praying hands emoji.

She later took to X to credit her teammates for this accomplishment:
“Individual awards are team awards! Wouldn’t be able to do this without them!” she wrote.
The Chicago Sky have struggled again this season, going just 5-11 so far in the regular season.

Reese, however, has had another strong season in just her second year in the league. She just became the first WNBA player to log at least 15 rebounds in four consecutive games, averaging 17.5 rebounds per game during that stretch.
She also recorded her first career triple-double this season, dominating with 11 points, 13 boards, and 11 dimes in a win over the Connecticut Sun.
She became the second-youngest player in WNBA history to record a triple-double, also joining franchise legends Candace Parker, Courtney Williams, and Courtney Vandersloot as the only Sky players with a triple-double.
Reese is currently leading the league in rebounds per game (12.6), averaging almost three full boards more than the closest competitor (A’Ja Wilson, 9.9 rebounds per game).

The Sky will be under a lot of pressure to straighten the course of the ship before the season gets out of hand, but at least Reese continues to take big steps towards stardom.
