Sky rookie Angel Reese is staying focused after Chicago’s 77-75 loss to the Aces on Sunday.
After Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy trolled her during the game on X, Reese tweeted, “if it was easy, everybody would be doing it. we good!” with the hashtag, “Sky Town.”
Portnoy has shown support for Reese’s college rival Caitlin Clark and the Fever. He criticized Reese’s play in two videos on Sunday.
He first reposted a clip of Reese missing a wide open 3-pointer in the first quarter.
“Nothing but net!” he wrote.
His other criticism was focused on Reese missing layups and not passing to teammates with Aces defenders around her.
The argument against Reese’s rebounding numbers is that some come after her own missed shots.
Reese finished with 11 points, 22 rebounds, and one assist in the Sky’s loss.
Aces star A’ja Wilson scored as time expired to secure the win for the Aces.
Reese made history by recording 20-plus rebounds in three straight games.
Reese, the Sky’s No.7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, is averaging a double-double.
The Sky will host the Mystics on Wednesday and are in playoff contention.
