Angel Reese opened up about the challenges she faces as a public figure.
During an interview with Speedy Morman for “360 with Speedy”, the Chicago Sky forward shared how she stays strong.
“I find inspiration in the positive feedback I receive from people who love and support me. It motivates me to keep pushing forward every day,” Reese said. “I focus on the love and encouragement I receive rather than the negativity. It took time for me to reach this point.”
“I used to question why people disliked me or were negative towards me. But then I realized my worth and found strength in being an inspiration to others,” Reese continued.
The “Chi-Barbie” also discussed her rivalry with Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever, noting their impact on WNBA ratings.
“Caitlin and I have been competing against each other since our AAU days in grade school. We both went on to play in college and eventually faced off in the national championship. Our competition has a long history,” Reese explained.
In her rookie season, Reese demonstrated her talent in the league by averaging 13.6 points and leading in rebounds with 13.1 per game. She was the only rookie to achieve a double-double consistently.
