It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.
The Sky are still winless after their first three matches of the new WNBA season, and now Los Angeles Sparks star Kelsey Plum has rubbed salt in the wounds by mocking Angel Reese on court.

The Sparks overcame the Sky on Sunday night with a comfortable 91-78 win.
The tone was set early on when Plum flexed her strength against Reese during the first quarter.
Despite Plum being much shorter than Reese, she still managed to drive right at the sophomore center and score a contested layup over her.
Plum then celebrated by extending her arm below her hip and holding her palm out flat — a move known as the ‘too-small’ gesture.
It’s a savage gesture often brought out by players’ in order to let everyone know their opponent is too little and therefore unable to guard them.
Reese spoke to the media following the loss — and Plum’s gesture — cutting a dejected figure.
However, she stayed strong, delivering a resolute five-word message to teammates.
“We have to stay together,” Reese, who leads the league in rebounds, said.
“It’s tough losing 3 in a row.”
Plum, a two-time WNBA champion, finished the night with 28 points and 8 assists.

Reese, meanwhile, also had a strong night, posting a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds, although it wasn’t enough to lead her team to a win.
The Sky have struggled all season, with their 0-3 start a continuation of their horror end to last season.
Chicago has lost eight straight games dating back to 2024.
The Sky’s struggles this season began with a blowout 93-58 loss to the Indiana Fever, a game that was headlined by Caitlin Clark’s clash with Reese.
Before the game, Reese extended an invite to NBA legend Michael Jordan.
After the game, it was announced that the WNBA was investigating allegations of racism and hateful fan comments towards Reese.
Then they lost to the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty, a game that saw Reese go 0-8 from the field.
Social media trolls roasted Reese during the game after she collected an offensive rebound and missed her first shot before getting the ball back and missing for a second time in quick succession.
Despite the doubters, Reese recently became the quickest player in WNBA history to reach at least 450 points and 450 rebounds, doing so in 35 games.
The 23-year-old seemed delighted with the achievement, taking to social media to repost the news with the praying emoji.
As her team search for their first win of the new season, Reese praised the Chicago Sky fanbase for their support.
“Being able to feel the love everywhere we go is always great,” Reese said.
“It helps us keep our intensity up and we feed off that energy.
“Just being able to stay locked in and focused, ignoring the outside, but also hearing the claps and encouragement because I know a lot of people do believe in us. We’re going to continue to fight.”
Up next for the Sky is the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday.
