Angel Reese and Rose BC won their first game in Unrivaled 2025, beating Breanna Stewart’s Mist BC 71-66 in Saturday’s skirmish. Reese had solid games in her first two outings, but Rose BC lost that game. In Saturday’s game, she played a season-low eight minutes, but that didn’t impact the team much.
Reese was played off the floor, racking up four fouls while trying to limit Breanna Stewart, who was on fire all night, scoring 20 points on 10 of 18 shots. Reese scored only four points, going 2 for 6. She missed several easy looks at the rim. Reese grabbed six rebounds and had three turnovers.
Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark’s Fever teammate, Lexie Hull, who has teamed up with Reese in Unrivaled, had a breakout performance. Hull scored 19 points in 10 minutes, shooting 8 of 11. She added three rebounds and three assists.
WNBA fans mocked Angel Reese on X for not closing the fourth quarter and failing to contribute to her team in a win. One fan wrote:
“ANGEL REESE SUCKS AT BASKETBALL & she hasn’t improved whatsoever. Post all the fake in the gym videos your game on the court looks BAD.”
Another tweeted:
One fan said:
“Brick Barbie”
One fan compared her to Andre Drummond:
“Angel is a good role player her fans just hype her up to be a super star which she’s not she’s just like Drummond he made couple all star appearances too”
Meanwhile, one user complained Angel Reese was wrongfully charged with fouls, saying:
“They called every foul on her and Lexi hull. They was trying everything to give the mist and Breanna Stewart the game”
Another added:
“Angel Reese is a liability in unrivaled”
