Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky is one of the top talents in the WNBA. It is a delight to watch her play, just ask the fans. But she is providing everyone with the same amount of fun off stage, as she recently took a subtle jab at another player in the league. It was nothing malicious and both players involved took it in a light manner. It all came from Friday night’s game between the Golden State Valkyries and the Chicago Sky, and a s*x toy was thrown at the court midgame. Thankfully, no one got hurt, but things seem to be getting out of hand as this is not the first instance of this happening.
Angela Reese teased Indiana Fever’s Sydney Colson after another “mean green” incident
After yet another WNBA game had to be halted because a s*x toy was thrown at the court midgame, Chicago Sky player Angel Reese, who is currently out with an injury, took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to subtly tease Indiana Fever point guard Sydney Colson. Reese implied that the s*x toy thrown at the court belonged to Colson, and the fans found it hilarious. The incident happened on Friday, during a game between the Golden State Valkyries and the Chicago Sky at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena. The s*x toy came flying into the court, and the officials had to halt play for a couple of minutes. The interruption happened during the third quarter of the game when the toy landed under the Chicago Sky’s home basket.Referees blew the whistle, and a game official kicked what looked like a neon green rubber object off the court with their foot. A Sky staffer was then seen rushing over to the place of the crime, and then again rushed out of the area after wrapping the item in a towel. As for Sydney Colson, she gave that perfect reply to Reese’s jab and dismissed the matter without a single word spoken.
WNBA players are asking fans not to throw things at the court
Unfortunately, this was not the first time something like this has happened. Only three days before this, another similar s*x toy was thrown at a game – this one between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream, and officials had to halt play for a few minutes before things could be resumed. Many WNBA players have taken to their social media to address the situation, as Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham tweeted, “Stop throwing dildos on the court… you’re going to hurt one of us.”Elizabeth Williams of the Chicago Sky also expressed her opinion during a post-game interview, saying, “It’s super disrespectful. I don’t get the point of it. It’s really immature. Whoever’s doing it really needs to grow up.”Throwing anything at the court, including a mean green, during gameplay can be dangerous for the players, as they could get hurt. Hopefully, fans will take heed and stop doing this. Also Read: Injured Angel Reese receives unexpected praise from Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White
