Angel Reese finished fifth in the 2025 WNBA All-Star fan voting for frontcourt players as the full list of starters was officially revealed.

Despite her strong showing with fans, she did not earn a starting spot after the player and media voting was factored in. The 12 All-Star reserves will be announced on July 6.

Reese narrowly missed the frontcourt cut, finishing just behind Phoenix’s Satou Sabally.

Despite being fifth in front court fan voting, she was 12th in media and 12th in player earning a weighted score of 7.75. Fan votes accounted for 50 percent, while player and media panel votes each made up 25 percent of the total score for each player.

Starters

Backcourt

Caitlin Clark: In her second All-Star selection, Clark earned her first captain nod after averaging 18.2 points and a career-high 8.9 assists per game.

Napheesa Collier: In her fifth All-Star selection, she’s pacing the league with a career-high 24.4 points per game and ranks third in rebounds with 8.5 per game, helping lead the Lynx to a WNBA-best 14–2 record this season.

Sabrina Ionescu: In her fourth All-Star selection, Ionescu is fresh off a WNBA Finals victory and recently became the New York Liberty’s all-time leader in three-pointers made, reaching 417 this month. She’s averaging a career-high 18.6 points along with 5.1 assists per game this season.

Paige Bueckers: The No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft has earned her first All-Star selection. She ranks 11th in the league in scoring with 18.4 points per game and sixth in assists at 5.8 per game, leading all rookies in both categories.

Allisha Gray: Making her third consecutive All-Star appearance, Gray ranks fifth in the league in scoring with 19.5 points per game. She’s also posting a career-high 5.4 rebounds per game along with 4.1 assists.

Nneka Ogwumike: The veteran is making her 10th All-Star appearance after being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 WNBA Draft. Ogwumike stands ninth all-time in league history for both career points (6,791) and total rebounds (3,093).

Satou Sabally: In her first season with the Phoenix Mercury, Sabally is an All-Star for the third time. She ranks sixth in the WNBA with a career-high 19.1 points per game and seventh in rebounding with 8.0 boards per game.

Breanna Stewart: A seasoned All-Star making her seventh appearance, Stewart boasts two MVP awards, two Defensive Player of the Year honors and four All-WNBA First Team selections. Stewart ranks third in the WNBA in scoring with 20.8 points per game.

Aliyah Boston: Reaching her third All-Star game in all three seasons in the league, Boston is putting up a career-best 15.9 points per game, ranking sixth in the WNBA with 8.2 rebounds per game and leads the league in field goal percentage at 59.7 this season.

A’ja Wilson: The reigning three-time MVP, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, and four-time All-WNBA First Team selection is making her seventh All-Star appearance. Wilson, a two-time WNBA champion, ranks second in the league in scoring (21.6 ppg) and rebounding (9.9 rpg), while leading the league with 2.6 blocks per game.

Much like Reese, who was overlooked by media and player voting for a starting spot, Skylar Diggins was burned due to fan voting. Despite ranking seventh in the league in scoring and fourth in assists per game, Diggins missed out on a starting position because of low fan votes. She placed fourth in media voting and third in player voting but was ninth among guards in fan voting.
