Angel Reese’s embrace of “mebounds” has paid off in spectacular fashion, with the reveal of her signature shoe colorway prior to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.
Reebok unveiled the pink colorway version of the Angel Reese 1 shoes that will be available soon.
This comes 10 days after Reebok announced the original Angel Reese 1 “Diamond Dust” shoe. She is expected to wear the pink shoes during the All-Star Game on Saturday night after using them during Friday’s shootaround.
A release date for Reese’s signature shoe has not yet been announced.
The term “mebounds” made the rounds on social media earlier this season. It was intended as an insult toward Reese for inflating her rebound total by rebounding her own misses on shots close to the basket.
Rather than be deterred by the insult, Reese filed a trademark for the term last month. She later announced a full line of “Mebounds” merchandise, with a portion of the proceeds going to her foundation that fights cyberbullying.
Reese originally signed an endorsement deal with Reebok prior to her senior season at LSU. She extended her partnership with the apparel brand in October 2024 following her rookie season with the Chicago Sky, including a deal for her own signature shoe.
There are currently five active WNBA players with a signature shoe deal, including Reese, Caitlin Clark, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart.
Reese, who is averaging a league-high 12.6 rebounds per game, will be playing for Napheesa Collier’s team in the All-Star Game on Saturday night.
The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET. Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is hosting the event for the first time.
