The rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese might have found new fuel. During Team USA’s second game at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 qualifying tournament, a single on-court possession reignited debate among fans.
With 4:41 left in the first quarter, Team USA’s head coach made a full lineup change against Puerto Rico. That put Clark and Reese on the floor together alongside Rhyne Howard, Dearica Hamby, and Kahleah Copper.
In no time, Chi-town Barbie made her presence felt on the glass, grabbing several rebounds in her first few minutes. After Reese secured her first rebound, Caitlin Clark, playing point guard, apparently called for the ball. But the Chicago Sky superstar chose to bring it up to the court herself.
Less than a minute later, she grabbed another rebound and seemingly repeated the same move while the Indian Fever star called for the ball again.
