Given the on-court rivalry between Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, many basketball fans likely believe that any teammate of Reese’s just naturally has it out for Clark.
However, that’s not the case for second-year Sky center Kamilla Cardoso, who was drafted two picks after Clark and four picks ahead of Reese last year.

Cardoso had a promising rookie season last year, averaging 9.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game across 32 appearances. She played 27.4 minutes per night, and she ranked second to Reese (13.1 rpg) on the team in rebounding.
During a recent interview with the NBA Brasil Instagram, Cardoso was asked a series of rapid-fire questions, and Clark’s name was eventually brought up.

The interviewer asked Cardoso “who is the most promising player in the [WNBA] apart from you?,” to which she didn’t hesitate to respond with “Caitlin Clark.”
And while Sky fans likely didn’t appreciate Cardoso shouting out a bitter rival like Clark, Fever fans had a much different reaction to her comments. Some even saw the video as a chance to send out a recruiting pitch to the 6-foot-7 center.
“Future Fever player!!” exclaimed one fan.

“She wants to play with Caitlin,” another fan stated.
“Future Fever? 😉” a third fan hinted.
“I would love to get her on the Fever,” one user noted.
“We gonna get you out the slums KC. We got a Fever jersey with your name on it in the basement 🙏🏾,” remarked another user.
“We have the jersey printed out already KMilla just hold on,” one fan quipped.
“I like Kamilla so much. Wish we could get her on the Fever, eventually,” another user proclaimed.
Cardoso also gave Reese a shoutout during the interview as well.
The South Carolina alum answered Reese’s name when she was asked who the most famous contact was in her phone.
