Angelo Leo flattens Luis Alberto Lopez

Angelo Leo secured both the IBF featherweight title and a place at the top of 2024’s Knockouts of the Year list with a stunning one-punch knockout of Luis Alberto Lopez.

Leo (24-1, 11 KO) fought in his hometown of Albuquerque with a clear game plan to work the jab, capitalize on Lopez’s wild swings, get inside with body shots, and tie up before Lopez could respond. Delgado (21-0, 15 KO) started slow but scored a knockdown in the third round against the aggressive Flores (26-1-1, 15 KO). Despite being warned for a low blow, Flores lost a point in the seventh round for an accidental foul.

The action intensified in the later rounds as both fighters traded close-range blows, with Delgado ultimately securing the win with justifiable scorecards.
