Despite being considered rivals on the court due to their history, some players like Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale believe the rivalry between Clark and Reese is media-created.
Ogunbowale mentioned that Clark and Reese play different positions and never really compete against each other directly, leading her to believe that the rivalry is exaggerated.
She also stated that Clark and Reese have mutual respect for each other.
While competing for the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, Reese expressed her focus on the success of the Chicago Sky rather than individual accolades.
The Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky have already played each other three times this season, with the Fever winning two of those matchups. The increased viewership for these games can be attributed to the star power of Clark and Reese.
