Arsenal finished top after coming from 2-1 down to beat Bayern Munich 3-2 in their UEFA Women’s Champions League Group C decider.
The Gunners went ahead in only the seventh minute, Glódís Viggósdóttir heading a corner past her own keeper.
Daphne van Domselaar kept a Pernille Harder close-range effort out with her boot but from the resulting corner, Georgia Stanway’s far post header was volleyed into the back of the net by Magda Eriksson.
Only the bar saved Bayern from a second own goal before the break, Sarah Zadrazil the relieved player when connecting with Caitlin Foord’s cross.
A frantic couple of minutes before the hour mark saw Ena Mahmutovic recover to keep the ball out, Eriksson net from a Giulia Gwinn ball into the box and Alessia Russo turn in Katie McCabe’s corner after the Bayern keeper misjudged it.
With six minutes to go, Mariona Caldentey had her shot handled and stepped up to convert the spot-kick that had been awarded to the Gunners.
Also in Group C, Juventus were 3-0 winners over Vålerenga, Valentina Bergamaschi’s early goal added to after the interval by Arianna Caruso and Emma Kullberg.
