Following the trade of star outfielder Kyle Tucker to the Chicago Cubs last week, the Houston Astros have added free-agent first baseman Christian Walker to their lineup on Friday.
Walker has agreed to a three-year, $60M deal and is known for his power-hitting right-handed abilities, making him a perfect fit for the ballpark.
With averages of 32 home runs and 94 RBI over the last three seasons, along with a .250/.332/.481 slash line, Walker has also secured three National League Gold Glove Awards.
Last season, the Astros struggled with first base production, as Jose Abreu and Jon Singleton only managed to combine for 15 home runs and 49 RBI.
