ATLANTA, Ga. (Jan. 6, 2025) – The Atlanta Dream has made significant additions to their coaching staff and front office. LaToya Sanders and Brandi Poole have been named assistant coaches, while Brooklyn Cartwright has been promoted to Assistant General Manager.
Head Coach Karl Smesko expressed his excitement about the new hires, stating, “LaToya and Brandi bring a wealth of WNBA experience and success to our team. Their leadership and passion for the game will greatly benefit our efforts to establish a winning culture in Atlanta. We are thrilled to have them join the Dream.”
Sanders joins the Dream after a successful tenure with the Washington Mystics, including a championship win in 2019. She brings extensive playing and coaching experience both domestically and internationally, making her a valuable addition to the coaching staff.

Poole, with over two decades of coaching experience, brings a track record of success at both the WNBA and collegiate levels. Her contributions to teams like the Connecticut Sun have been instrumental in their postseason success.

Cartwright’s promotion to Assistant General Manager highlights the Dream’s commitment to developing internal talent. Her dedication and contributions to the organization have been pivotal in shaping the team’s vision for the future.
