Aubrey Plaza busts knee during WNBA All-Star Weekend

Aubrey Plaza is currently recovering from an injury sustained during a WNBA event.

The actress shared a photo of herself at the WNBA All-Star Weekend, sitting with an ice pack on her injured knee. Plaza expressed gratitude to the WNBA for their care and support, sharing moments from the event on her Instagram. She also hinted at future plans to attend another event in Paris.

Additional photos from Plaza’s gallery show her receiving medical treatment at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. She was also seen interacting with Jason Sudeikis and Nneka Ogwumike while using crutches.

During the All-Star Game broadcast, it was mentioned that Plaza injured her ACL while playing a game of knockout, despite arriving with a healthy knee.

At one point, Sue Bird assisted Plaza with her ice pack, and they were joined by Megan Rapinoe. The Seattle Storm social media accounts praised the interaction as “The GOAT lending a helping hand.”

Plaza has a history with basketball and injuries, having previously played for the Pistol Shrimps. She later switched teams to play with her sister on the Spice Squirrels, which led to an unfortunate ACL injury.

In a 2021 interview, Plaza revealed that she tore her ACL while playing disguised as a member of the Spice Squirrels. She eventually joined the team officially.
