Audi Crooks is much more than the star attraction on the Iowa State Cyclones.

The 6-3 junior forward is one of the best college basketball players in the country.
Crooks was able to continue her pace of scoring more than a point per minute as the Cyclones secured a 74-69 win over the in-state rival Iowa Hawkeyes on Wednesday. The win saw Iowa State improve to 11-0 amid Crooks’ game-high 30 points in 36 minutes.
For the season, Crooks has scored 306 points in 283 minutes. She leads the nation in scoring at 27.8 points per game on 72.2 percent shooting.

In dropping another 30-piece against Iowa, Crooks became only the second D-I player this century to score 30 or more points on 65 percent shooting or better in at least three consecutive games.
The other? Brittney Griner, widely regarded as one of the NCAA and WNBA’s greatest players.
That is pretty good company for Crooks to keep, and it offers a window into her potential to dominate at the next level when her NCAA career is finished.
Emulating Griner, a nine-time WNBA All-Star and a six-time All-WNBA selection, is much easier said than done. But Crooks is draft-eligible in 2027, by which time she could have a Naismith College Player of the Year award on her resume. Griner won that award twice during her decorated four-year NCAA career at Baylor.
