Olympic men’s basketball gold medalist Bam Adebayo has been playfully teasing fans as rumors swirl about his relationship with WNBA star A’ja Wilson.
The Las Vegas Aces center, who recently won a gold medal with the Team USA women’s basketball team at the Paris Olympics, is a strong contender for the 2024 WNBA MVP title.
Following Wilson becoming the first player in league history to score 1,000 points in a single season, Adebayo tweeted his support for her achievement, hoping “everybody finds A’thousand reasons to smile on this lovely Sunday.”
Adebayo also made a clever reference to Wilson’s name when he tweeted the word “unanimous,” with an apostrophe after the first letter, hinting at her deserving the MVP award by a unanimous vote.
He also acknowledged fans waiting for his tweet about Wilson’s record-breaking accomplishment.
Past subtle tweets about Wilson from the Miami Heat center have caught the attention of fans and even the mayor of Miami-Dade County, adding fuel to the speculation about their relationship.
