Bantamweights Collide In Magnificent Bout

Back for another round of incredible fights, ONE Championship delivers on an exciting card packed with some of the best competitors in the world with ONE Fight Night 37. In the highest billed MMA bout of the event at ONE Fight Night 37, Carlo Bumina-ang looks to spoil the perfect record of Elbek Alyshov. Also on the main card, the undefeated Willie van Rooyen puts his coveted zero on the line when he meets with Uzbekistani finisher Avazbek Kholmirzaev. 

ONE Fight Night 37: Carlo Bumina-ang vs. Elbek Alyshov

Since taking the first loss of his career last year, Bumina-ang has successfully rattled off two straight wins in a row with each of them first-round stoppages ahead of ONE Fight Night 37. Having fought in the ONE ring for much of his time as a professional, the Lakay Central Gym stands as a true homegrown product of the organization.  

Unbeaten as both an amateur and a professional, Alyshov has known only one thing for the past seven years: victory. Currently enjoying a stellar nine-fight winning streak coming into ONE Fight Night 37, the Azerbaijan native steps into the ring for his first match in just three months after recording a triumph in his freshman contest for the company.  

ONE Fight Night 37: Willie van Rooyen vs. Avazbek Kholmirzaev

Despite being only 5 ‘7, van Rooyen cast an unbelievably large shadow over the South African mixed martial arts scene, winning the Extreme Fighting Championships flyweight strap and defending it once. Vacating the belt to move on to a major organization, “White Lion” is hoping to make a splash on the international stage in his debut for ONE during ONE Fight Night 37

Accepting what will be his fifth contest of the year, as well as his fourth with the promotion since joining ONE in 2025, Kholmirzaev is aiming to put Uzbekistan on the map with what could amount to his sixth straight win. With all but one of his 13 victories as a professional going to the scorecards, it’s safe to say fans will be in for a short viewing experience with “Ninzya.”

MMASucka staff picks are composed of four of the world’s leading mixed martial arts organizations: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Professional Fighters League (PFL), ONE Championship (ONE FC), and Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS).
