Buffalo Bills legend Billy Shaw has passed away.
The five-time All-Pro and Pro Football Hall of Famer passed away from hyponatremia at the age of 85, the team announced.
The Bills selected Shaw in the second round of the 1961 AFL Draft. Shaw was named an AFL All-Star eight times and received five All-AFL honors. He also claimed two AFL championships during his illustrious career. Shaw started in 116 of his 119 career games played.
Shaw was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.
Shaw is the only member of the Hall of Fame to have played his entire career in the AFL. His accomplishment was even more remarkable considering his stature as an undersized 6-foot-2 guard weighing around 260 pounds for most of his career.
