Blake Treinen, a right-handed reliever, recently signed a two-year, $22 million contract with the Dodgers, bringing him back for another season. Despite missing the 2023 season due to a shoulder injury, Treinen has two World Series wins with the Dodgers.
After spending five years with the organization, Treinen elected free agency but ultimately decided to return to Los Angeles. In an interview with Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain, Treinen expressed his fondness for the team and his desire to continue playing for them.
Although Treinen considered exploring other options, he ultimately signed with the Dodgers, where he hopes to retire. With a consistent ERA below 2.00 for the past three seasons, Treinen is expected to be a key player in the Dodgers’ bullpen.
