Esports event organiser and production company BLAST, known for several high-profile tournaments and circuits, has announced plans to expand into the North American market by opening an office in New York.
The office, which will be opened soon in one of the world’s biggest esports markets, will serve as BLAST’s base of operations. Through the newly established office, BLAST will be able to “deliver more world-class esports events and content across the North American region.” The exact opening date was not shared, but the company mentioned that the office will be opened sometime in 2025.

This is the second big international move for BLAST, a company that started in Denmark in 2016 before expanding and opening offices in London and Berlin. Earlier this year, the Danish company announced a partnership with Reliance to expand operations in India and open an office in Mumbai. The India office will initially focus more on mobile games than PC and console, and will help organise events and produce content after it opens later this year.
The company has grown steadily in the last seven years through its own series of events, such as the BLAST Premier in CS2 (formerly BLAST Pro Series and others) and the BLAST Slam in Dota 2, and as a partner of some of the world’s most iconic esports brands.
BLAST has produced several Rainbow Six: Siege esports tournaments and worked as the official tournament partner for the Rocket League Championship Series and Fortnite’s FNCS series of tournaments. In 2025, BLAST will host 15 international LAN events, including the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the company’s second-ever CS Major, will take place in the United States later this year.
To further facilitate growth in North America, BLAST’s Chief Business Officer, Leo Matlock, will relocate to New York to work on the launch of the new office and help scale operations in the country. Matlock commented on the move:
“We have some incredible live events coming up across North America this year and are excited to continue to advocate this unmatched fandom and to work with national and local partners and brands, creating a positive impact everywhere we are. This move further adds to our global expansion efforts in 2025, with offices opening in India and the U.S. this year.”
With the global expansion underway, BLAST has cemented its position as one of the leading esports tournament organisers in the world.
