Turkish MMA standout Alperen Karabulut is brimming with confidence as he prepares to make his BRAVE Combat Federation debut at BRAVE CF 91. Set to face local hero Hamza Kooheji in the co-main event on December 13 in Bahrain, Karabulut is unfazed by the challenges of stepping into enemy territory.
Despite the immense hype surrounding Kooheji’s comeback, Karabulut isn’t feeling the pressure. In fact, the Turkish fighter has been unapologetically bold in his pre-fight statements, signaling his readiness to spoil the homecoming. In a video posted on his social media, Karabulut expressed excitement about the opportunity while delivering a strong message to his opponent.
“I am really excited about going to Bahrain for this fight. I really am,” Karabulut said. “But Hamza, he is a good fighter, no doubt about it. As a person, however… I don’t really know him, so all I can say is that I feel sorry for him, I’m sorry because he has to fight me.”
Karabulut’s attitude has set the stage for a heated clash against Kooheji, who will undoubtedly have the full support of his home crowd as he returns to the cage in search of another memorable performance.
The co-main event is just one part of a stacked BRAVE CF 91 card. The night’s main event will see Nkosi Ndebele put the Bantamweight World Championship on the line against Nicholas Hwende. Adding to the excitement, Muhammad Mokaev, one of the biggest global superstars in MMA, returns to BRAVE CF and takes on Luthando Biko in a featured Flyweight bout.
