Brendan Allen is set to face off against Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Paris.
Sources familiar with the promotion’s plans have confirmed that the matchup between Allen and Imavov will take place on Sept. 28 at Accor Arena in Paris. The booking was first reported by Fight Minds.
Despite Allen’s previous statement that he would only fight Imavov if they were the main event, a lightweight fight between Renato Moicano and Benoit Saint Denis is expected to headline UFC Paris with five rounds.
Allen has been on a seven-fight winning streak, with notable victories including a unanimous decision win over Chris Curtis at UFC Vegas 90 and a submission victory over Paul Craig at UFC Vegas 82. Allen currently holds the No. 8 spot in MMA Fighting’s Global Rankings for middleweight fighters.
Imavov is also coming off of back-to-back main event wins, with a third-round TKO victory over Jared Cannonier at UFC Louisville and a decision win over Roman Dolidze at UFC Vegas 85. Imavov is currently ranked No. 11 in MMA Fighting’s Global Rankings.
